Annabelle Arlt, PhD, is a researcher at the Institute for Genomic Statistics and Bioinformatics at the University of Bonn, Germany, where she focuses on next-generation phenotyping for ultra-rare disorders. Her research interests include genomics, mouse models for neurodevelopmental disorders, and inborn errors of immunity with syndromic features.
She previously held postdoctoral positions at the Institute of Human Genetics in Münster and at Amedes Genetics in Bonn, where she worked on molecular diagnostics and disease-specific genomic and proteomic signatures.
Dr. Arlt earned her doctorate magna cum laude from Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz in 2019. In her dissertation, she investigated the molecular mechanisms of brain function in mTOR-related intellectual disability syndromes.
